Jon won a league championship in the highly competitive JRJ Fantasy Football League for the 3rd time. He also won the JRJ Playoff Pool, and finished 2nd with his NFL Picks.  His team made the playoffs in the Patriot Fantasy Football League, as well as winning his division. In the NEFFL, Jon’s team made the playoffs, certainly a perennial event in that league.

Joe finished 2nd in the NFL Picks League of the Patriot Fantasy Football League, and made the playoffs of the same league, finishing in the semi finals. In the JRJ Fantasy Football League, he finished a respectable 4th place finish. In the NEFFL, he won the NFL Picks League.

Ray is certainly a perennial favorite to win the NEFFL, and 2007 was a bit of an off year. He has vowed to be back stronger than ever in 2008.  In the JRJ, his unit fared decently, scoring an impressive 71 points better than his 2006 team, as his team get consistently better.

Third Year Players: Ten Guys Who Have The Potential To Turn Your Season Around

After two years in the NFL, players are used to the grueling work schedules. They know the playbooks. They are comfortable with their teammates. They all have their houses and cars. They are used to the money and of course, the women.

Here are ten guys from the Class of 2006 that have a chance to be a sleeper, turn your team around, and become a champion.

1. Reggie Bush, RB, NO – It is time for Bush to step up.  He has not rushed for more than 600 yards in an NFL season, or scored more than 6 rushing TDs in an NFL season.  This could be the year Bush rushes for 1000+ yards and scores 10 TDs.

2. Laurence Maroney, RB, NE – Maroney has rushed for more yards in each of his first two seasons.  This should be the norm for this year as well.  He may very well eclipse 1000 yards, but will probably only score around 6 TDs.  He also needs to catch some more passes.

3. Santonio Holmes, WR, Pit – Al numbers keep creeping up for Holmes.  Look for 1000+ yards and 10+ TDs from him as he takes over as WR1 this year.

4. DeAngelo Williams, RB, Car – A 5.0 yards per carry is hard to ignore, as was Williams’ average last year.  If the Panthers run a bit more this year, expect big things from Williams.

5. LenDale White, RB, Ten – White grabbed over 1100 yards last year and is punishing at the goal line.  He might just score 12 TDs this year and rush for 1300 yards.

6. Jerious Norwood, RB, Atl – Norwood has averaged over 6.0 yards per carry in both of his previous years.  With RB Michael Turner as an unknown, and Warrick Dunn in Tampa, Norwood could explode this year.

7. Brodie Croyle, QB, KC – Croyle could be a bust this year, but he also could pay a nice dividend, as he completes close to 60% of his passes.

8. Maurice Stovall, WR, TB – Stovall has not shown much promise, but he is 6’4” tall and could be a nice red zone target.

9. Kellen Clemens, QB, NYJ – Having your child kissed by the Pope can only be a good sign for Clemens, who could make strides as a QB if he could cut down his interceptions, which happen with experience.  This could be the year that Clemens firmly plants himself as the Jets starting QB.

10. Marquis Colston, WR, NO – Only 4 players were taken after him in 2006, but he has blossomed into an excellent NFL WR.  He has garnered over 1000 yards in both of the last two years, and 1500 yards and 12 TDs could be in his future.
